The Sapporo Pavilion was designed in collaboration with the Shimizu Construction Company. The exhibits were built in the USA and shipped to Japan for installation. The theme of the exhibition focused on present and future space program missions. Some of the featured interactive exhibits include full scale mock-ups of the International Space Station habitability areas, an amphitheater with a 50+ diameter active model of a future lunar base and multimedia show, and a partial gravity simulator where visitors can experience the low gravity of the Moon.
